We loved our stay at Old Kilmun. The kids have since named the week as ' the best holiday ever'!

The house itself was excellently appointed - ultra smart, and still a lovely place to unwind if you could bear to be away from the beautiful garden. It was very well equipped, and we wanted for nothing. The size was just right for 3 families, and the basement was a very welcome escape for the younger generation, who had their own leisure space while we could relax in the 'grown-up's' sitting room which was mercifully TV-free, as that entertainment was thoughtfully placed in other parts of the house. The games area in the garden was a great retreat for croquet, football etc.

To top it all, Old Kilmun is set in wonderful countryside with breathtaking views. The bikes were particularly welcome as a means to explore the peninsular. Our walk through the arboretum (just a step over the garden fence) was especially memorable, and the 6 children all joined in without any moans - a testament to how impressive the place is.
